Adherence to these park policies is necessary for park admittance. These policies enable our guests to have a safe, fun, family-friendly experience.
Children under age 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Parents and guardians are responsible for making decisions about which attractions are suitable for minors based on the child’s swim level.
Adults are not permitted to hold small children while riding attractions.
We strongly recommend that all minors (under 18) be accompanied by an adult. Park does not assume any responsibility or liability for unattended minors.
Children who are not toilet-trained are required to wear a swim diaper for health and safety reasons. Swim diapers are available in the gift shop.
We are extrememly concerned about the dangers of possible broken glass in our park. Bottles and containers brought into the Park for infants must be plastic.
The Park offers a variety of water-based activities for all ages and all swim levels. Height restrictions are posted for all attractions and enforced.
Review Height Restrictions in the Safety section below.
Only Coast Guard approved flotation devices are permitted. Inflatable devices, as well as suits with attached or enclosed floats, are not permitted.
No outside food or beverages are allowed in the Park. Sorry, but we do not allow glass containers, coolers, ice chests, food or beverages of any kind to be brought inside the park.
We have a wide variety of options available at the Hideaway and Paradise Eats locations.

We’re serious about safety.
Big Kahuna’s Park offers a variety of water-based activities for all ages and all swim levels. Park Policies, including those posted in the park and on the website, are enforced for the safety of our guests. Park does not assume any responsibility or liability for failure to adhere to Park policies and safety standards.
At Big Kahuna’s we have lifejackets for guests to use while enjoying our pools. Our US coast guard approved life jackets are available at all blue and green slides, all children’s pools, and our wave pool.
Need help finding a lifejacket? Ask a lifeguard or slide attendant.
We have all sizes of life jackets to fit every guest. On the inside of the lifejacket there is a weight range, please put on the correct size. Please ask a lifeguard or slide attendant if you need help finding a lifejacket to fit you or anyone who needs one. Lifejacket safety is very important to our team at Big Kahuna’s.
Sometimes height does matter!
Five of our Water Park attractions have height requirements.
On December 19, 2008 the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act went into effect. This law requires VGB Compliant Pool Drain Grates. All of our raised grates have a red circle highlighting their location.
Big Kahuna’s is VGB Compliant, but please note that some of our grates have a raised profile off the floor as mandated by the Law. They are designed to be stepped on, but in shallow water they could pose a tripping hazard.
