Big Kahuna’s Water and Adventure Park, known as, “The Largest Water Park on the Emerald Coast,” received several updates this past year and is currently open to the public. The newly renovated Water Park includes more than 40 water slides and attractions.
In the last year punctured by the pandemic, new ownership at Boomers has invested $7M for upgrades in equipment and pristine maintenance at the national Family Entertainment Center as the entertainment model for returning customers.

DESTIN, Fla. – After opening late last year, one of Northwest Florida’s summer attractions is ready to reopen for a full season.
Last spring, thousands of family entertainment centers around the country were forced to shut down because of the Covid-19 pandemic, which caused huge financial losses from attempts to prevent the spread of the virus.
Renovating indoor and outdoor dining areas can reignite guests’ interest in these locations, says Tim Murphy, CEO of the Boomers Parks chain of FECs and water parks.
Joined by his parents and a small group of friends, Kim, a huge fan and guest of the Boomers park in Irvine, scaled the rock-climbing wall, drove go-karts, played air hockey and crammed in as much time as he could playing many of the arcade games.
And if you drive into Destin from the East along Highway 98 you can’t help but pass Big Kahuna. You’ll know you passed it when the kids shout “Can we go there?”
