The mischievous Pirates of The White Sands sailed into the park, bringing interactive island fun to every splash zone. Guests enjoyed playful antics, pirate hijinks, and a taste of high-seas adventure—exactly the kind of tropical fun you expect in Destin!

Guests frolicked in Bombs Away Bay alongside shimmering mermaids, adding sparkling tinsel to their hair and transforming into magical mermaids and mermen themselves. A bubbly, fairy-tale experience done island style!
- 🎉 Foam Zone Fridays
Every Friday, Big Kahuna’s hosted foam-filled dance parties! DJ beats, laughter, and mountains of bubbles turned the park into a tropical celebration that had everyone moving and grooving.

Guests caught the aloha spirit at our Lei’d Back Luaus! Hula dancers, fiery performances, and tropical games brought island rhythms to Big Kahuna’s, where guests relaxed, played, and soaked up paradise vibes.

Guests kept asking…and the park delivered! The brand-new Picnic Pavilion became the perfect hangout for groups and family reunions, adding a splash of tropical comfort to every summer adventure.

Feathered friends flew in to join the fun! Colorful parrots from HarborWalk charmed guests their tropical flair, creating unforgettable photo ops and adding an extra splash of adventure to the island vibes.
- 🌊 World’s Largest Swimming Lesson
In partnership with the World Waterpark Association, Big Kahuna’s Destin joined the global effort to promote water safety with the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson. Families learned valuable skills while making a splash together—even Destin’s Mayor Bobby Wagner stopped by to dive in!
