Cashless FAQ

Why is the park going cashless?

The park has switched to a fully cashless system to provide a better, safer, and faster experience for our guests. Big Kahunas now accepts electronic payments such as debit cards, credit cards, and mobile payments like Apple Pay and Google Pay only. Cashless transactions allow our food and retail lines to move much quicker, getting you back to the fun faster! It also provides a more secure environment for our staff and eliminates the hassle of carrying wet cash or losing coins in the park.

Big Kahunas is a cashless park. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express cards at the entrance ticket booths, gift shop, and all food locations. Admission tickets and season passes are also available for purchase online. Guests with cash will have free access to multiple easy-to-use Cash to Card kiosks conveniently located throughout Big Kahunas.

Going cashless will make transactions faster and safer, while cutting down on wait times.

Yes, the entire property is now cashless. There are multiple free-to-use kiosks throughout the property.

We have several locations throughout the park where you can convert your cash

  1. Retail Shop
  2. Right outside the main entrance

The kiosk works like a reverse ATM. Simply insert your cash, follow the on-screen instructions, and a prepaid card will be issued instantly with your funds loaded and ready to use.

There are several ways to check your balance. First, you can swipe the card and see the balance at any cash to card “ready credit” kiosk at Big Kahunas. You can also call the number listed on the back of the card.

First, please be sure to take the receipt issued during your transaction at the Cash to Card Kiosk. This will list the amount of cash you deposited. Then, find the nearest associate; they will contact a supervisor to assist you. Guest Relations can help as well; they can be found near the front entrance. An associate will work with the card provider to resolve the error as quickly as possible, so you can get back to fun!

There are no penalties or fees if you attempt to make a purchase that is larger than the amount of funds on the card. You will need to provide another form of payment to complete the transaction or load additional money onto a new card.

Prepaid cards cannot be reloaded. Instead, get a new prepaid card free of charge at a nearby cash to card kiosk.

The card can be used anywhere payments are made throughout Big Kahunas. Outside of the park, it can be used at any location that accepts credit or debit cards.

The only piece of information we will ask for is your mobile phone number. This number is simply used to link you to your new prepaid card so that the card customer support team can assist you if your card is ever lost, stolen, or if you need help with your balance.

The cash to card kiosks are free to use; there is no fee to load cash onto the prepaid card. If the card is used regularly, there is no recurring fee. After 92 consecutive days of no transaction activity, however, a $3.95 fee will be charged each month.

Cash to Card Kiosks accept cash in the form of bills only. Coins are not accepted.
